SEO Services vs. Traditional Marketing, which is better?
Traditional marketing forms like television, radio, and print media, have suffered major losses in the past decade as the internet technology to reproduce television and radio have progressed to the point where they’ve replaced much of the market for advertising. Businesses that were once investing in CBS and NBC are now investing in YouTube and other online platforms. Broadcast Television stations have begun putting some of their content online through either their own websites or going through middlemen services like Hulu.
While this has meant major losses for television and radio, it has opened up a new avenue of distribution and circulation for companies that produce the content that advertisers crave.
“We don’t see television or radio going anywhere, but the internet has certainly cut into their market share,” said a marketing strategist for a Denver SEO services company. “It’s been particularly difficult for the print industry, which was always considered the most cost effective marketing target, but least resilient of the three. “Many of these companies have moved their advertising online and it’s been better for them.”
The reason for this simple. The internet and content providers use vehicles such as Google’s AdSense to target consumers who have already demonstrated some interest in their product. So the advertisements reach less people, but they reach more of the right kind of people. “It’s also cheaper,” he told us. “Companies are cutting their marketing budget and still getting the same kinds of returns, if not better than they were seeing before by randomly targeting whoever was reading or listening and then hoping for the best.”
SEO Services are now the biggest players in marketing industry and can coordinate several different strategies for companies that are looking to expand their customer base, reach new potential customers, and increase their digital footprint. “We target a number of different online resources that includes search engines that are optimized to deliver results based on keyword driven content, social media platforms, and then we aid in the design of websites themselves, by designing streamlined interfaces that work on a number of different devices.”
One service they provide is reputation management. “It’s sort of like marketing, PR, and journalism all rolled into one. We can generate fast keyword driven product reviews and commentary that helps our clients develop an online reputation for great service and quality products. In the process, we reach out bloggers, article writers, youtubers, and a host of other outlets in order to build and maintain, or in some instances, transform a client’s reputation in general public.”
Most new businesses and especially those involved in e-commerce are hiring SEO marketing agencies in order to get their message out there, and that trend is unlikely to stop any time soon.
